104 // I cried into my toothpaste this morning. I held it together enough to get dressed and out the door. I felt tense on my morning walk to the train. I felt weary. I felt scared. I felt confusion. I felt weak. As I suppressed more tears, I realized the way I felt in that moment was exactly how people like me were supposed to feel: Tense, weary, scared, confused, weak. And in the next moment, I understood I held within me the same power today I had yesterday. The same heart. The same conviction. The same strength. Today will not break people like me. People like me will continue to walk in power with heart, conviction and strength.
