108 // On being a circle. A lot of times circles wish they were squares. Many more times a circle will squish itself into a square opening in its attempt to prove that it’s malleable enough and flexible enough to indeed be a square—or at least get really, really, really good at fooling the triangles and the real squares.
Every now and then a square opening gets the sharpness of its corners beveled just a bit. And the circle relaxes into it. The cubed opening doesn’t restrict its roundness as much. It’s still not enough room for the circle to bounce or roll. “Hey, guys! Look at my hard work!” The circle thinks it can show how well it has contorted itself to become a square. It’s painfully obvious the circle will never be like the other two shapes.
The squares fit. So do the triangles, because there’s room for two. But circles, poor misguided circles, they just don’t fit. And they never will. 🔵⚫️⚪️🌑🐂
